A restaurant in Manchester has been named one of the best new eateries in the country. Higher Ground, in the city centre, which is approaching its first anniversary, has been recognised by the prestigious Good Food Guide.
They will be up against six others for the Best New Restaurant gong at the guide's inaugural awards ceremony in London at the end of the month.
The restaurant, on the outskirts of Chinatown, opened early last year. It was founded by three industry veterans who met in New York before eventually setting up in Manchester.
