A courtroom in one of Manchester’s court buildings had suffered a small leak leading to a number of cases being moved. At Manchester Crown Court, Crown Square, located in Hardman Square in Spinningfields, court room five has been closed.

This is due to a small leak in a connecting room, making it inaccessible, a spokesperson for HM Court and Tribunals has said.

This has not led to any delays, and all hearings that were to be heard in court five have been moved to Manchester’s Minshull Street Crown Court, located near to Piccadilly train station.

In a statement, a HMCTS spokesperson said: “Court five at Manchester Crown Square is currently unavailable due to a small leak in a connecting room. “This has not led to any delays as all affected hearings have been moved to Minshull Street Crown Court.
