Manchester City winger Savinho saw his first start for the Blues end early after he was forced off at half-time against Chelsea.

The €40m new boy had a bright 45 minutes, playing a hand in Erling Haaland's goal that had established City's 1-0 lead, but he appeared to tweak a muscle during a counter-attack late in the half.

The 20-year-old went down after his role in the break with nobody around him and received lengthy treatment on the turf before limping to the sidelines.

Savinho returned to the fold for the final 10 minutes or so of the half but he continued to struggle and Phil Foden was called on for the second half.
