Manchester Airport unveils new luxury private terminal - but people aren't happy

A brand new private terminal, Aether, has been unveiled at Manchester Airport. However, some travellers have criticised it as "another thing for the rich" and are calling for improvements to the main airport.

Situated in a separate building near the Runway Visitor Park, Aether offers a first-class and business class experience for all customers, regardless of their ticket or airline.

The luxurious lounge features a private, award-winning chef and promises a "seamless and elevated experience", according to Manchester Airport bosses.

Despite being a luxury that requires pre-booking and payment, it is accessible to all passengers. In the aftermath of the Euros, which saw footballers and their partners jetting across Europe in style, the lounge is expected to be popular.
