Manchester's prices for dropping off friends and family at airport have been revealed to be the most expensive at am eye watering £1 per minute, according to new analysis.
On average, seven of the top 20 airports across country increased the cost of drop-off parking since last summer. However, Manchester itself delivered the worse value on a cost-per-minute basis.
Research from the RAC found that customers were being charged £5 for a five-minute stay, equivalent to £1 a minute. This place it far ahead its next most expensive partner on the list, Leeds Bradford, which charged £6.50 for 10 minutes (65p per minute).
RAC senior policy officer Rod Dennis said: “It’s depressing, if perhaps unsurprising given what’s happened in the past, to see seven airports have hiked their drop-off charges once again this year.
