A man who tried to strangle his ex-partner has been jailed for 20 months by a sheriff who said he was lucky not to be facing a murder charge.Hamilton Sheriff Court heard that Ryan Black and the woman had continued to stay together at their home in Marleyhill Avenue, Stonehouse, despite their relationship ending.They remained friends and had separate rooms but he "lost it" on May 15 this year.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
