A man who killed an ambulance worker has been jailed for 28 years.Toby Kelly used his van to kill off-duty Sheldon Flanighan outside a pub in Cramlington in Northumberland on April 1.
Sheldon and his friend, Wayne Common, had tried to protect Kelly's partner - who was scuffling with him - and prevent him from drink driving.
But Kelly went on to reverse over him and then proceeded to move forwards over his body, leaving him with catastrophic injuries.
Chronicle Live reports that the 38-year-old was convicted of murder last week alongside the attempted murder of Wayne.He was jailed for life at Newcastle Crown Court.
