Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson 'went off the rails' and was thrown in jail after a drunken brawl in the early 1960s.Fergie was appointed Red Devils boss in 1983 and led the club to an unprecedented level of success before his retirement in 2013.His honours include 13 Premier League titles, five FA Cups, four League Cups and two Champions Leagues trophies.But the man himself has acknowledged how things could've been so different after a regrettable incident in the 1960s.Ferguson was at St Johnstone at the time and revealed how he turned to drink while struggling with being out of the first-team.Ahead of a new documentary about his life, entitled, Sir Alex Ferguson: Never Give In, the 79-year-old spoke candidly about the incident.
