Ole Gunnar Solskjær KSO (Norwegian pronunciation: (About this soundlisten); born 26 February 1973) is a Norwegian professional football manager and former player. He is currently the manager of English club Manchester United. As a player, he played as a forward and spent most of his career with Manchester United. Solskjær also supervises a training academy for young footballers in his home town of Kristiansund, and is a patron of the Manchester United Supporters' Trust.

Manchester United defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah has still not been told whether Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to trigger a one-year extension on his contract.

The 22-year-old Dutch defender will see his current deal end at the end of June – but United have the option of handing him another 12-month agreement.

Old Trafford sources have suggested that Solakjaer wants to keep Fosu-Mensah as part of his squad. But the coronavirus crisis has seen talks put on hold and left the former Ajax trainee in limbo.

Fosu-Mensah can leave for nothing in the summer and there is no shortage of clubs willing to offer him a future. But he is desperate to stay at Old Trafford and is prepared to wait until the lockdown is lifted for negotiations to resume.
