Man United star's brother takes aim at Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo over next manager jibe

Alejandro Garnacho's brother Roberto, has ripped into Liverpool forward Conor Gakpo on social media. The 19-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough season at Manchester United and his brother, Roberto, has been active on social media to boast his accolades throughout the season.

Roberto has never shied away from commenting about footballing matters on X and jumping to the defence of Alejandro. However, he took the opportunity to slate Gakpo on Friday evening after it emerged that Feyenoord boss Arne Slot was set to succeed Jurgen Klopp at Anfield in the summer.

Responding to a post that confirmed an agreement had been reached between all parties, Roberto wrote: "They acc [actually] think this bald [referring to Slot] can make Gakpo run faster." The Dutchman has scored 21 goals in 75 appearances for the Reds. Despite being a forward by trade, Klopp has often utilised him in midfield and admitted that playing him in a different position had impacted his form. "Cody had a bit of a struggle in between the season, it was more my fault," Klopp previously said. "We spoke about can Cody play a midfield position for us, yes he can in different moments.
