United were left in uproar after Oliver advised on-field referee David Coote, who had initially waved away the protests, to go and look at the pitch-side monitor - having deemed Matthijs de Ligt to have fouled Danny Ings.

Jarrod Bowen fired home the resulting 92nd-minute penalty to condemn United to their fourth defeat in nine Premier League games already this season.
