But the course of the game changed when Aaron Wan-Bissaka was issued with a red card. After going down to 10 men, United sat back and sought to soak up pressure.
They were unsuccessful though, as Young Boys netted twice after the break to flip the fixture on its head. Speaking after the game, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said Wan-Bissaka's inexperience at this level cost him.
