Jesse Lingard may have been laid down on the ground in the foetal position when Cristiano Ronaldo scored a last-gasp winner for Manchester United against Villarreal on Wednesday, but the England international can claim another big impact off the bench for his team.
Lingard didn't have a lot of time to make an impact on the game when he was brought on in the 89th minute, but he was alive in the penalty area to knock Ronaldo's headed pass back to the Portuguese.
From there, Lingard was clattered by a couple of defenders, did what he could to get out of the way and watched as Ronaldo sent the Theatre of Dreams wild with a 95th minute goal.
