Man 'stabbed' in Scots town as police charge suspect

A man was rushed to hospital after allegedly being 'stabbed' in a Scots town.Emergency services raced to the Phoenix Place area of Johnstone amid reports of a serious assault around 12.10pm on Sunday February 11.

A 29-year-old man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment.It is understood he was allegedly stabbed, however his condition is not known at this time.Another man, 26, was arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

He is due to appear Paisley Sheriff Court today, Monday February 12.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 12.10pm on Sunday, 11 February, 2024 officers were called to a report of a serious assault in the Phoenix Place area of Johnstone. "Emergency services attended and a 29-year-old man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. "A 26-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
