A man in his 20s has been rushed to hospital following a 'knife fight' in Manchester city centre. Police were called out to Piccadilly Gardens at 12.35am this morning (September 24).
Greater Manchester Police says it received a call about 'men fighting possibly involving a knife' in the area. The force says it searched the area after receiving the call but officers did not find a knife.
An eyewitness told the Manchester Evening News : "There were maybe three guys with knives out running past me that I saw." They added: "Cops turned up but all the guys had scarpered." A GMP spokesperson said: "We were called at 12.35am today (September 24) to a report of men fighting possibly involving a knife near Piccadilly Gardens, Manchester. "A man in his 20s was injured and taken to hospital.
