Man in his 30s dies after emergency services respond to 'concern for welfare'

A man has died after police were called to a road in Radcliffe over 'concerns for his welfare'. Police officers, paramedics and fire crews descended on the scene on Mount Sion Road at around 5.30pm yesterday (Monday, October 14).

Pictures showed a large number of emergency vehicles parked on the side of the road. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said in a statement today that a man - aged in his 30s - was taken to hospital from the scene, where he sadly died.

No further details about the man have been released at this stage. The GMP spokesperson said: "GMP were called to Mount Sion Road in Radcliffe about concerns for the welfare of a man in his 30s.
