A woman has been taken to hospital after being cut from a car following a crash. Emergency services were called to the scene in Edge Lane, Stretford, shortly after 8.35am today (Thursday).
Two cars were involved in the crash, according to Greater Manchester Police. Firefighters cut a person free from one of the vehicles before a woman was taken to hospital.

Bus services in the area were diverted as a result. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said:“At just after 8.35am on Thursday (October 31) two fire engines from Stretford and Sale fire engines plus the enhanced rescue unit from Leigh fire station were called to a crash involving two vehicles on Edge Lane, Stretford. “Firefighters used specialist cutting equipment to rescue a person from one of the vehicles before handing them to the care of colleagues from North West Ambulance Service.
