A man found dead alongside his Scots wife in rural France allegedly had money troubles and was reportedly seen crying over a pension.Andrew Searle, 62, and his wife Dawn, 56, were found dead in the small hamlet of Les Pesquies, near Villefranche-de-Rouergue last Thursday.
Prosecutor Nicolas Rigot-Muller previously said both had died a "violent death" with a police investigation into the circumstances underway.
Dawn was discovered in her pyjamas with a head injury while there are reports that Andrew was found hanging inside their home.
Now, local sources have claimed the couple were facing possible financial difficulties and have alleged that it took Mr Searle over a year to settle a bill of several thousands euros.As reported in the Mirror, they said that the father was seen looking tearful in December amid issues with his UK pension.
