Gene Hackman & Wife Betsy Arakawa Found Dead in Their Home

He was 95 and she was 63. Their dog was also found deceased, but no foul play is suspected at this time. Keep reading to find out more… Police said in a statement, “We can confirm that both Gene Hackman and his wife were found deceased Wednesday afternoon at their residence on Sunset Trail.
This is an active investigation – however, at this time we do not believe that foul play was a factor.” Deadline reports they were found on Wednesday (February 26).
He won Academy Awards for his work in The French Connection (1971) and Unforgiven (1992), and officially retired from acting and stepped away from the spotlight after 2004′s Welcome to Mooseport.
