A man was cut from a car and taken to hospital following a horror crash in Rochdale. Emergency services rushed to Albert Royds Street just before midnight on Saturday (4 March.) Police, fire crews and paramedics from North West Ambulance Service were all scrambled to the scene following the smash involving five vehicles.
Firefighters had to use hydraulic cutting gear to free a man from one of the vehicles. He was assessed by paramedics and taken to hospital, Greater Manchester Fire Service said. GMP have been contacted for more information about the incident. No further details about the extent of the man's injuries, or whether any arrests have been made, have been released at this stage.
Video footage seen by the M.E.N shows a number of emergency vehicles at the scene on Saturday night. A team of firefighters could be seen centred around one vehicle.
