Manchester City will be without five key players for their Community Shield clash with Manchester United this afternoon. Julian Alvarez will not feature as talks continue over his move to Atletico Madrid.
A fee has been agreed with City and a move is imminent. It remains to be seen if City will strengthen with a direct replacement before the window closes at the end of the month.
Pep Guardiola will also be without his Euro 2024 finalists with Rodri, Kyle Walker, Phil Foden and John Stones yet to return to full training.
A host of other stars have only recently returned meaning the Wembley line-up will include several youngsters.
