That's according to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport who claim the Blues made an advance for centre-forward Vlahovic after seeing their chances of signing Harry Kane begin to dwindle and it's said that Etihad chiefs tabled an initial bid of €55m for the player.

It's reported that Fiorentina's owner Rocco Commisso made it clear that the 21-year-old, who scored 21 goals in 40 appearances last term, wasn't for sale, though, and that the forward himself proceeded to give his word that he would stay for another season.
