The Brazilian went down under a collision with Spurs defender Cristian Romero at the back post, with City teammates immediately calling for medical assistance.
City's medical staff quickly attended the goalkeeper and treated him on the pitch for a few minutes, with a video emerging showing Bernardo Silva appearing to put Ederson in the recovery position.
Ederson as able to continue for a number of minutes before Stefan Ortega replaced him on 69 minutes, much to Ederson's frustration as he kicked out at a water cooler and looked distraught when taking his seat.
