Police are attempting to trace a group of schoolchildren after a man was allegedly stabbed during an attempted robbery. The victim, aged 26, was approached by the group as he walked through the subway at approximately 4pm on December 15.
A boy asked to use his phone but when he refused, the youths tried to take it from him in Perry Barr, Birmingham, West Midlands Police said.
Birmingham Live reports that he managed to snatch it back and ran off but he was chased and stabbed in the arm. He suffered a deep wound 4-5cm long.
The man's injuries were luckily not serious. Police officers are now appealing to anyone who knows the group to come forward.
