A man has been charged with a racially-aggravated public order offence following December's Manchester Derby at the Etihad. Anthony Burke, 41, of Panfield Road, Wythenshawe, will appear before magistrates next month.
He stands charged with a racially-aggravated section 5 Public Order Act offence. Mr Burke is due to appear at Salford and Manchester Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, April 15.
Officers were 'alerted to a supporter allegedly making racist gestures and sounds towards football players' during the match on Saturday, December 7, GMP said.
