A man has been charged after a car was deliberately set on fire in a Scots street.Fire crews rushed to the dramatic scene on Main Street, Calderbank at around 10.25pm on Thursday, January 20.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) immediately deployed a fire engine to the area and firefighters were caught on camera extinguishing the flames.
A 35-year-old man has now been charged in connection with wilful fire raising and vehicle theft, according to Police Scotland.
The police force also added that a 21-year-old woman was charged with road traffic offences. Both have since been released to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Friday, February 18, 2022.
