Armed police locked down a street in Dundee, with a man charged after officers were called to reports of a person in possession of a knife.
Specialist officers rushed to Duncraig Road in the Charleston area of the city shortly after 5am on Sunday January 30. Police vehicles and a cordon blockaded the road before they were later joined by a Scottish Ambulance Service incident response unit as a precautionary measure.
Video shared on social media showed armed officers marching down the street carrying rifles and standing guard outside a block of flats.
Duncraig Road remained closed for several hours while officers responded to the incident.Police Scotland has since confirmed a man has been arrested and charged following the large-scale response.
