A man from London appeared in court on Tuesday morning charged with assault and possession of a bladed article after an alleged stabbing in the Piccadilly Gardens area of Manchester city centre last week.
Police swooped on the gardens last Monday afternoon (March 14) to reports of a stabbing following a 'group dispute'. Isaac Francis, 20, of Wormholt Road, London, was remanded in custody to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court earlier today.
And a 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was today charged with a section 4 public order offence; he is due to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court tomorrow (Wednesday 23 March).
At around 4.45pm on Monday 14 March, police were called to a report a man in his 20s had two stab injuries. He was treated in hospital and later discharged.
