Man arrested on suspicion of rape and threats to kill

A man has been arrested on suspicion of rape, false imprisonment and threats to kill after an incident in Bolton. Police were called to a property in Farnworth at around 12.30pm this afternoon.

Locals described seeing a large police presence with around a dozen police vehicles, including a dog unit spotted in the area.

A GMP spokesperson said: "At around 12.30pm today (15 July 2023), officers responded to reports of an incident in Bolton.
