A man has been arrested after a 67-year-old woman was dragged to the floor in a terrifying mugging in Clayton. The victim was on Clayton Hall Road at around 12.55pm last Friday (February 9) when a 'male suspect' approached her from behind.
Police said he dragged her to the floor in the street before snatching her handbag. He then made off from the scene towards Stanton Street.

In an update issued today (Tuesday), police said a 38-year-old man was arrested yesterday on suspicion of theft. He remains in custody to be quizzed by detectives.
