A man was been arrested after police in Oldham used a stinger to bring a stolen car to a halt - just half an hour after it was swiped.
Officers sprang into action after the theft of the car was reported at around 10:50pm last night from Old Kiln Lane in Grotton, Saddleworth.
Within minutes they managed to trace the vehicle and GMP's Tactical Vehicle Interception Unit were called in to help. READ MORE: The vehicle was then stopped using a stinger - a sliding strip of spiked metal designed to deflate tyres - just 30 minutes after the original call.
A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking and remains in custody for questioning Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said.
