Detectives investigating a terrifying machete attack have released CCTV footage of a man seen in the area before and after.
Greater Manchester Police said in an appeal they want to speak with him. A man and a woman were attacked with a machete in the Atherton area of Wigan.
The woman, said police, was injured but has now been discharged from hospital and is recovery at home. But the man suffered 'possibly life-changing injuries', said police, and remains in hospital.
The attack happened at a property on Bolton Old Road, Atherton, on July 6. The man's face isn't visibly on the footage released by police, but investigators are hoping someone will recognise him.
