Australian attacker Daniel Arzani has signed for A-League side Macarthur FC after enduring a disappointing four-year spell as a Manchester City player.
When City signed the then 19-year-old attacker from fellow City Football Group club Melbourne City, they were bringing in arguably the most exciting young talent in Australian football.
The teenager had enjoyed a breakthrough campaign in 2017/18, one that ended with him becoming the youngest player to represent Australia at the World Cup when he travelled to Russia in 2018.
City immediately sent Arzani on a two-year loan to Celtic, but he ruptured his ACL on his debut for the Scottish giants. Since then the 23-year-old has been unable to rediscover the spark that excited City, despite a series of loan spells at the likes of Utrecht, Aarhus and Lommel.
