A man has appeared in court accused of murder following an incident nearly four years ago. Dean Hughes, 46, has been charged with the murder of Shane Maloney after police were called to a 'disturbance' in Leigh.
Mr Maloney was assaulted in November 2019 and died 15 months later. Mr Hughes appeared at Manchester Crown Court on Monday morning, November 13, for a further hearing.
He was not asked to enter a plea to the offence, and the case was adjourned for a further case management to be held in January next year.
A trial date was set for April 2 2024.
