Manchester United could be without up to nine players when they resume their Premier League campaign against Everton on Sunday.
Andre Onana and Facundo Pellistri sustained injuries on international duty with Cameroon and Uruguay, while Lisandro Martinez (foot), Casemiro (hamstring), Jonny Evans (thigh) and Christian Eriksen (knee) are out until December, at the earliest.
Martinez and Casemiro are not expected back until after Christmas but Eriksen and Evans could return for the visit of Chelsea on December 6. Hojlund was not involved in United's training session at Carrington on Wednesday and his potential absence at Goodison Park could see Anthony Martial return to the starting XI in the Premier League for the first time since September 3.
