A man and a teenage boy were seriously injured in a horror double stabbing incident in Manchester on Tuesday evening (February 4).

Police were called to the incident near Rushford Street and Purcell Street in the Longsight area shortly before 7pm. Both men, aged 16 and 20, were found with stab injuries at the scene.

Witnesses reported seeing a 'fight' in the street before the knife attack. No arrests have been made but a major investigation to trace the suspects has been launched.

Pictures from the scene showed multiple police vehicles and ambulances at the scene following the incident. Any witnesses are now being urged to contact Greater Manchester Police as detectives work to 'build a timeline of events' leading up to the stabbing.
