A man in his 20s has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following a report of a stabbing incident in Oldham. Police were called to Oxford Street at about 5.10pm today (Tuesday) following the incident.
Greater Manchester Police say a man, aged 52, was 'located' by police and arrested on suspicion of assault. He remains in custody for questioning and enquiries are ongoing.
A spokesperson said: "Officers were called at around 5.10pm today (19 October) to a report of a stabbing on Oxford Street in Oldham. "Emergency services attended and a man in his 20s was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
