Emergency services were called to the crash on Davey Lane at around 3.30pm on Thursday (April 1). A white Peugeot hit a wall, Cheshire Police said.
The driver of the car - an 84-year-old man - was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He sadly died a short time later. Police have not yet named the man.
His next of kin has been informed. Detectives are asking for witnesses to come forward, particularly those with dash cam footage.
