Police have made an arrest following a 'robbery' which left a man seriously injured in south Manchester. Officers have begun a second day at the scene in Chorlton this morning (December 30).
It comes after Greater Manchester Police received reports of a robbery on Nicolas Road shortly before 8pm on Sunday (December 29).
A man was rushed to hospital from the scene with serious injuries. In an update issued this morning (December 30), GMP confirmed that a 46-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of assault in connection with the incident.
He remains in custody for questioning today. A forensics tent is in place at the scene, near Oswald Road. Neighbours described seeing emergency services 'cramped around a car and ushering people away' following the incident.
