A taxi driver has reportedly been taken to hospital after a crash on a major road in Bury. Manchester Road has been taped off at its junction with Parkhills Road following the incident, which happened at about 8.50am today (Tuesday).
Pictures from the scene show a flatbed truck and a white taxi that appear to have collided. The taxi appears to have sustained considerable damage. The driver of the taxi is reported to have been injured in the crash, according to Coun Tamoor Tariq, who represents Redvales ward on Bury council.
In a post on X, Coun Tariq wrote: "Following a RTA this morning, the junction of Manchester Road, Parkhills road and Radcliffe remains closed. "One injured person is currently in hospital.
