Maik Nawrocki makes Celtic transfer exit decision as Legia Warsaw charm offensive hits roadblock
dailyrecord.co.ukOut of favour Celtic defender Maik Nawrocki has reportedly knocked back the chance to rejoin Legia Warsaw on loan.The 23-year-old only arrived at Parkhead in a £4.3million deal from the Polish top-flight side last summer, but made just 10 appearances in all competitions for Brendan Rodgers' side.
Nawrocki picked up a hamstring injury in September, and on his return to fitness, was unable to break up Rodgers' first choice centre back pairing of Liam Scales and talisman Cameron Carter-Vickers.
According to TVP SPORT reporter Sebastian Staszewski, Legia Warsaw Jacek Zielinski has reached out to Nawrocki in a bid to convince him to come back to the Polish capital, only to be rebuffed.
Staszewski adds that former Poland youth international Nawrocki has not intention of ending his stay in the east of Glasgow, bu that the situation could change if he does not play a big part in Celtic's pre-season schedule ahead of the new campaign.The champions take on Ayr United and Queen's Park next month before jetting off to the US for a pre-season tour.
