Magical event where fans can watch Home Alone with full orchestra set for Scotland this Christmas

A magical event that brings the iconic festive family film Home Alone to life is set to arrive in Scotland this Christmas. Home Alone In Concert will feature the beloved film’s charming score, composed by the renowned John Williams, performed live to picture by a full live orchestra.

Tickets for the exciting event will go on sale on Friday, September 9 from 10am, with the tour kicking off at Manchester Opera House on November 27, heading to Birmingham and then arriving in Glasgow before finishing up at Nottingham Royal Concert Hall on Monday, December 19.

It'll take place at the Royal Concert Hall on December 5th, with tickets available to buy from Ticketmaster.co.uk. The famous film sees a young Macaulay Culkin star as Kevin McCallister, an 8-year-old boy who's accidentally left behind when his family leaves for Christmas vacation, and who must defend his home against two bungling thieves (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern).Released in 1990, the film also stars Catherine O’Hara and John Candy and was nominated for two Academy Awards for Best Original Score and Best Original Song (“Somewhere in My Memory”).A spokesperson for the team behind the musical event said: "Heart-warming fun for the entire family, Home Alone has been passed down through generations of adults and kids alike as festive tradition, and now, Home Alone In Concert will be a new way for audiences to experience a classic."
