MAFS UK experts shocked as Whitney and Matt split – but viewers aren't surprised
ok.co.ukThe Married at First Sight UK experts were taken aback during Monday night's reunion episode when the show’s resident firecracker Whitney Hughes rocked up alone.
Whitney was first partnered up with Duka Cav as part of the experiment, but there was a lack of chemistry between the pair from the get-go.
She went on to ruffled feathers after she coupled up with fellow contestant Matt Murray after things didn’t work out between him and his wife Gemma Rose.
The pair quickly declared their love for one another and appeared to be going strong. However, the reunion dinner party saw the pair – who had insisted they were in love – reveal they've gone their separate ways, leaving the experts stunned. "Oh snap!" said Paul C Bronson as Whitney came into the room, while Mel Schilling admitted: "I wasn't expecting that." After walking into the reunion solo, Whitney was asked by Thomas Hartley and Adrian Sanderson if she was “happily alone” – to which she said yes.
