Global superstar Madonna has cancelled her tour after becoming seriously ill. The popstar developed a "serious bacterial infection" that led to her being hospitalised.
Her illness was so bad that she even ended up in the intensive care unit (ICU). She will now be cancelling her commitments so she can recover, reports Sky News.
A statement, her manager Guy Oseary said: "On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which lead to a several day stay in the ICU.
Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected. "At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour.
