Pop icon Madonna, 64, has finally returned home and is said to be "feeling better and following doctors' orders" after a terrifying health scare which saw her end up in intensive care.

The superstar singer was reportedly rushed to hospital and "intubated" after she contracted a serious bacterial infection. PageSix reported that Madonna was found unresponsive on Saturday before admitted to ICU in New York, where she remained for five days.

But now, the Material Girl singer is recuperating at home and is reportedly 'feeling better and listening to her medical team.' A source close to Madonna revealed to PA news agency on Friday (June 30) that, "She's home, feeling better and following doctors' orders." The American singer, known for her chart-topping hits, is expected to make a "full recovery".

However, she has been forced to postpone the start of her highly anticipated upcoming tour. A source told the Daily Mail how the star's managers had to arrange an emergency crisis meeting to decide whether to proceed with her concerts.
