Hope has been re-ignited into the Madeleine McCann case after a German suspect was identified by the police. Maddie went missing from a holiday apartment on Portugal’s Algarve coast on May 3, 2007.
The three-year-old was sleeping in the apartment in Praia da Luz with her two siblings, while her parents were eating at a nearby restaurant.
But what really happened to her remains a mystery to this day – and it’s still an active police case. Last night police searching for Madeleine said they had identified a new suspect.
The German suspect is known to have been around Praia da Luz at the time Maddie vanished. The suspect is a German prisoner who is 43 years old, and has not been named.
