Drivers are now able to use the new M6 Junction 19 road bridge and roundabout for the first time which is aiming to cut journey times and ease traffic flow at the hectic interchange.
The M6 J19 improvement scheme has been ongoing for almost two years at a cost of £43m at Tabley, near Knutsford in Cheshire.
It has involved the building of an entirely new bridge to straddle the M6, providing a new easier link between the motorway and the A556. READ MORE: Three villages hailed "UK's prettiest" near Manchester The new roundabout will allow traffic leaving the M6 northbound at J19 to seamlessly flow on to the A556 towards Manchester, and from the southbond side on to the A556 towards Northwich.
