Pep Guardiola's side crashed out of the Champions League in dramatic fashion on Saturday night after a 3-1 reverse in the quarter-final.
Having equalised through Kevin de Bruyne, the game swung when Dembele put Lyon back in front, despite City defenders protesting that the goal should have been disallowed.
The ball was played through for Karl Toko Ekambi, who was offside, but he stepped over the ball to allow Dembele to run onto it, before slotting past Ederson.
