With the score at 1-1 after Kevin De Bruyne had equalised following Maxwel Cornet’s opener, Moussa Dembele broke through to add a second in the 79th minute before VAR was called upon to judge whether the goal should stand.
Karl Toko Ekambi – who was in an offside position – allowed the ball to roll through his legs in order for Dembele to run onto it, while the former Celtic frontman appeared to foul Aymeric Laporte in the build-up.
