Baby killer Lucy Letby could be facing constant surveillance to ensure she does not commit suicide in prison, according to an official.
The 33-year-old is expected to be on 24-hour suicide watch as she faces spending the rest of her life behind bars. The nurse was found guilty of the murders of seven babies and the attempted murders of six more on Friday following a 10-month trial at Manchester Crown Court.
The court had previously heard that she had considered taking her own life after being blamed for babies’ deaths at the neonatal unit in Chester where she worked.
